This position is currently funded as a 12-month fixed term contract.
The successful applicant will provide excellent clinical leadership and deliver high-quality, safe, and family-centred care for children and young people attending the Paediatric Emergency Department. This includes direct patient care, leading the Paediatric Trauma and Resuscitation teams, and managing the department as the Emergency Physician in Charge (EPiC).
The post includes both in-hours and out-of-hours work. The successful applicant will be involved in audit, service improvement, and clinical governance to support the ongoing development of the service. This position does not currently provide Programmed Activities for educational supervision.

At Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), roles that require a DBS check are subject to a cost recovery policy. - Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC) (or be eligible for registration within six months of interview)
- CCT in Emergency Medicine or Paediatrics with a subspecialty registration in Paediatric Emergency Medicine or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview or equivalent
