LOCUM CONSULTANT IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE

WHIPPS CROSS UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

FULL TIME (10 PROGRAMMED ACTIVITIES)

Whipps Cross Hospital is seeking enthusiastic Locum Emergency Medicine Consultants for posts lasting up to 12 months, starting as soon as mutually agreed. Why choose Whipps Cross? Person Specification
Qualifications
  • MB ChB or equivalent
  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice
  • FRCEM
  • Commitment to working within a DGH hospital
Desirable
  • MRCP or equivalent higher qualification
  • Experience as a locum Consultant or acting up
General Professional Training
  • ALS, ATLS, APLS provider
Desirable
  • Instructor status in ALS, MIMMS provider
Level of Responsibility Achieved
  • Appropriate for experience with evidence of CPD, quality improvement, and appraisals
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to practice
  • Manage patients with ongoing medical and surgical critical care needs
Desirable
  • Experience in Acute Medicine or other acute specialties
Leadership and Management skills
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors
  • Prioritize tasks
  • Lead and motivate junior staff
Desirable
  • Management/Leadership courses or qualifications
  • Led service development

Audit and Quality Improvement
  • Experience completing audit cycles or quality improvement projects
