Job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Whole-Time 12-month Locum Consultant in Benign Gynaecology at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based in the Jessop Wing of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with varying levels of experience, from recent trainees to those with well-established careers.

Candidates unable to work full-time for personal reasons will still be considered; job content modifications will be discussed on a case-by-case basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will, alongside consultant colleagues, be responsible for providing a comprehensive benign gynaecology service.

Experience or special interest in one of the following areas would be advantageous:

• Menopause
• Hysteroscopy
• Fast track clinico-acute gynaecology and early pregnancy
• Vulval conditions

The post holder will participate in the on-call rota.
