Job summary

Athona Ltd is seeking a Community Learning Disabilities Nurse (Band 6) for a locum post in Leatherhead, Surrey. This full-time role lasts an initial 5 months with a rate of £27 per hour and is inside IR35.

The CLD will work autonomously, conducting clinical assessments of children and young people with learning disabilities and co-morbid mental health needs, within a multidisciplinary team. You will manage a caseload from referral to discharge and must hold a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health community settings and hold a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments of children and young people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
• Collaborate with Mindworks Services, Social care, On Call Managers, Paediatric Liaison Nurses, Schools, etc.
• Manage own caseload from referral to discharge/transfer, handling risk and formulation.
