Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work at a GP practice in Weymouth. The role offers autonomous clinical work with full support from an established multidisciplinary team, and flexible sessional hours.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, perform prescribing where qualified, and contribute to high-quality outcomes in a well-organised primary care setting.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) is required.
  • V300 Independent Prescribing is required.
  • Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
  • Ability to work autonomously and safely.
  • Familiarity with EMIS/SystmOne/Vision.
  • Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
  • Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations.
  • Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
  • Completing long-term condition reviews where required

Working Pattern
  • Up to 4 days per week, flexible sessions
