Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work at a GP practice in Devizes. This autonomous clinician role offers flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment with full support from a multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Level 7) or postgraduate standard.
  • V300 Independent Prescribing credential.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
  • Ability to work autonomously and safely with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision).

Responsibilities

  • Run minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
  • Complete long-term condition reviews as required.
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
  • Order and interpret investigations.
  • Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

Job description

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Devizes. This role is ideal for an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
  • Completing long-term condition reviews where required
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations
  • Clear, accurate clinical documentation
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs
