Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work in a GP practice in Burton On Trent. This autonomous clinician role offers flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care setting, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess and manage a range of presentations, conduct reviews and triage by phone, with independent prescribing and safe clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Level 7/postgraduate qualification.
  • V300 Independent Prescribing.
  • Experience in primary or urgent care settings.
  • Ability to work autonomously and safely.
  • Familiar with EMIS/SystmOne/Vision.
  • Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
  • Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations.
  • Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Burton On Trent. You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.
