Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work for a GP practice in Newark. This role suits an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7 / Postgraduate) is required.
  • V300 Independent Prescribing is required.
  • Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk‑in settings is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and safely is required.
  • Familiarity with EMIS / SystmOne / Vision is preferred.
  • Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
  • Completing long‑term condition reviews where required.
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision‑making.
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations.
  • Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
