Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work with a GP practice at Queens Quay Main Avenue. The role offers flexible sessions, up to four days per week, and full clinical support from a multidisciplinary team to maintain efficient, high-quality patient care.

You will conduct independent assessments, prescribe under V300, and manage a range of presentations in primary care, with access to common systems (EMIS/SystmOne/Vision).

Qualifications

• Advanced nursing qualification required at Level 7 or postgraduate level.
• Must hold V300 Independent Prescribing entitlement.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely in a GP environment.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations.
• Prescribe and review medications under independent prescribing.
• Document clearly and collaborate with GPs and practice staff.

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Queens Quay Main Avenue. This role is ideal for an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs

Requirements

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate)
• V300 Independent Prescribing
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings
• Ability to work autonomously and safely
• Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision)
• Enhanced DBS
