Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Croydon. This autonomous role offers flexible sessional work with full support from a multidisciplinary team.

You will assess, diagnose and manage diverse presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes in a well‑organised primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) or equivalent.
• V300 Independent Prescribing entitlement.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care, or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with EMIS / SystmOne / Vision.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Complete long-term condition reviews when needed.
• Provide telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Conduct independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Order and interpret investigations.
• Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence‑based care, and contribute to high‑quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision‑making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs

Requirements
