Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Ashford. This role offers flexible sessional work within a well‑organised primary care environment, with full support from a multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes in a structured workflow.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7, postgraduate).
• Hold V300 Independent Prescribing.
• Recent experience in primary or urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
