Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a Locum Anaesthetic Practitioner for Weston General Hospital. This agency role offers flexible shifts with early and late slot options, ideal for experienced professionals seeking variation and opportunities within a dynamic theatre environment.

Applicants should be qualified in Anaesthetic Nursing or ODP with UK theatre experience, HCPC/NMC registration, and ILS. Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• HCPC or NMC registration to practice in the UK.
• Minimum of 6 months UK operating theatre experience.
• Immediate Life Support (ILS) / Paediatric ILS required.
• Mentoring or teaching qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of anaesthetic procedures for surgery.
• Support the team to prepare a wide range of equipment and drugs including anaesthetic machines and airway devices.
• Monitor patients throughout the anaesthetic process.
• Respond quickly to changes or complications during anaesthesia.
