Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Field Service and Technical Advising Specialist in Leeds to join the Freight Global Services team. You will act as a subject matter expert in diagnosing and troubleshooting PowerHaul locomotives, and participate in structured training to achieve certification in electrical fault-finding and system diagnostics.

You will work at customer sites, provide on-the-job technical training, guide production teams, and travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Ideally HNC or above in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Equivalent experience in Rolling Stock/Locomotive Maintenance accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support and on-the-job training at customer sites.
• Offer clear technical guidance to production departments and management, including troubleshooting and tooling/support for locomotives.
• Analyse performance data and travel within the UK to customer sites.
