Job summary

Cameron House, a renowned five-star resort on the shores of Loch Lomond, seeks a Junior Sous Chef to join a creative kitchen team. You will assist the Head Chef, help maintain health and safety standards, and contribute to exceptional guest dining experiences in a high-volume environment.

You will bring hands-on kitchen leadership, strong communication, and a passion for culinary excellence, with opportunities for progression and training within Cameron House.

Qualifications

• SVQ in Food Productions at SCQF Level 5 or equivalent qualification or industry experience.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene Qualification, or equivalent.
• Recent Senior Chef De Partie or Junior Sous experience in a five-star hotel or volume-service restaurant.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Flexible approach to work with initiative and creativity.
• IT skills with knowledge of Office software and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Host day-to-day operation and be present and accessible to guests and team.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and presentation of kitchen and stores.
• Define and supervise consistent delivery of high food standards.
• Remain knowledgeable about food trends, dietary requirements and allergens.
• Support guest experience through recommendations and specials.
• Manage stock control, requisitions, and wastage with forecasts.
