Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a reliable general labourer for a short-term contract on a busy new build housing site in Skelmanthorpe. You will work with the Site Manager and trades to move materials, keep plots safe and clean, and assist with deliveries.

The role requires a valid CSCS card, full PPE, and a strong work ethic with punctuality. Local applicants able to commute to Skelmanthorpe are preferred, with immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
• Previous experience as a labourer on a construction site (new build housing preferred).
• Full PPE provided (Hard hat, high-visibility jacket/vest, steel-toe boots).
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to follow health and safety instructions around live plots and site machinery.
• Based in or commutable to Skelmanthorpe (Huddersfield/Wakefield area).

Responsibilities

• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with moving and distributing materials across plots.
• Sweeping plots, clearing construction waste, and loading skips.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety procedures.
• Assisting site management with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
• Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties as required across the development.
