Job summary
Nixon Hire in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an LGV Class 2 Driver to deliver and collect our units and equipment to customers, with a focus on efficiency and safety. Qualifications
- C+E licence is essential.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Good knowledge of local area geography.
- Customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
Responsibilities
- Delivering/collecting the company’s units and equipment to customers at the right location and time.
- Inspecting units on collection, noting any damage or dirtiness.
- Completing paperwork correctly to avoid disputes.
- Driving safely and in compliance with transport regulations, including tachograph use.
- Operating lifting equipment safely and ensuring axle weights are not exceeded.
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks and reporting defects.
