Job summary

GI Group Holdings Recruitment Limited is seeking an LGV Class 2 Driver to deliver and collect the company’s units and equipment, ensuring timely arrivals and efficient fuel use. You will inspect equipment on collection and complete required paperwork to prevent disputes.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 Licence, at least two years of commercial driving experience, and good local knowledge. A physically fit and flexible candidate is preferred for overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 Driving Licence is essential.
• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Good geographical knowledge of local and surrounding areas.
• Customer-focused experience will underpin your ability to deliver this role.
• Good physical health is required as the role can be physically demanding.

Responsibilities

• Delivering/collecting the company's units and equipment to customers at the right location and time.
• Inspecting units and equipment on collection for damage and cleanliness and recording issues.
• Completing all necessary paperwork to avoid disputes (signatures for delivery/collection, damage or missing items).
• Drive company vehicles safely, obey driving hours regulations and tachograph requirements.
• Load/unload plant and equipment safely, ensure axle weights are not exceeded; perform daily vehicle checks.
