Job summary

Bridgestaff Group is seeking reliable HGV Class 2 tipper drivers for a local role in Gloucester and surrounding areas. The job focuses on 8-wheel tipper operation, load delivery, and site-facing customer service, with early starts and Monday–Friday shifts.

Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply. Training includes buddy-driver support and a modern fleet with on-site parking and benefits. Applicants should have a valid HGV Class 2 licence and a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• Positive, professional attitude and good communication.

• Reliable, with a good work ethic; able to work independently or in a team.
• Newly qualified HGV Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply; buddy-driver training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 2 8-wheel tipper safely and responsibly.
• Deliver and collect aggregates, soils, and waste materials across Gloucester and nearby areas.
• Complete 6–8 loads per day depending on demand.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Record deliveries and use a PDA to upload work.
• Follow drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations.
