Bridgestaff Group is seeking an HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver for local work in Gloucester and surrounding areas. You will operate an 8-wheel tipper, handle deliveries and site support, and work close to built-up areas with no long-distance motorway driving.

Role emphasizes safety, reliability and a positive attitude. Training and buddying offered; early start times suit nearby candidates within about 40 minutes of Gloucester.

Qualifications

• Tipper experience is ideal but not essential.
• Right attitude, reliability and enthusiasm are important.
• Requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence and professional attitude.
• Good communication, safety focus and compliance critical.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 2 8-wheel tipper vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Transport aggregates, soils, recycled materials, muck away and other construction or waste-related materials.
• Complete approximately 6–8 loads per day, depending on operational requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects or safety concerns.
• Ensure loads are transported and tipped safely and in accordance with site requirements.
• Use a PDA to upload and record completed work.
• Maintain accurate delivery and operational records.
• Follow all Drivers’ Hours, Working Time, tachograph and transport legislation.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and site requirements.
• Provide professional customer service when dealing with customers, site teams and colleagues.
• Maintain the vehicle to a high standard and report any issues promptly.

Location: Gloucester and surrounding areas

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, family-run business with a strong reputation across the South West.

They are now looking to expand their local driver team and are seeking reliable and enthusiastic HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the business.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an 8-wheel tipper vehicle, carrying out deliveries and collections across Gloucester and the surrounding areas.

The role is primarily local and built-up area driving, rather than long-distance motorway work.

Typical duties will include:

• Operating an HGV Class 2 8-wheel tipper vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Transporting aggregates, soils, recycled materials, muck away and other construction or waste-related materials.
• Completing approximately 6–8 loads per day, depending on operational requirements.

You will need:

• A valid HGV Class 2 licence.

Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply.

Training and support will be provided, including an initial period working alongside an experienced buddy driver to help you get up to speed with the role.

Due to the early start times, the role is ideally suited to candidates living within approximately 40 minutes of Gloucester.
