Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Class 2 Driver / Loader in Shropshire. Salary is £15.30 per hour with overtime opportunities. Guaranteed 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 6:45 am. Part-time hours may be considered, with locations in Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Bridgnorth and Craven Arms.

The role involves both driving and loading duties, vehicle checks and adherence to traffic laws. Training and development opportunities are available, with a focus on work-life balance and community service.

Qualifications

• Cat C (Class 2) Licence is required.
• Driver CPC & Digi/Tachograph Card required.
• Willingness to perform mixed loading/driving duties.

Responsibilities

• Collect recycling, refuse and green waste from domestic properties in Shrewsbury and surrounding areas.
• Drive and perform loading duties.
• Undertake vehicle defect checks.
• Comply with traffic laws and load security requirements.
• Record work on onboard tablet and report issues.
• Keep carriageway clean and clear spills.
• Assist other collection crews.
