Job summary

DPD is seeking a driver to own a local route, delivering parcels with a 7.5 Tonne vehicle. You’ll cover around 40–50 stops a day, staying safe, professional and focused on first-time delivery success.

You’ll use Saturn handheld devices to track progress and complete deliveries, load and unload with sacks and hand trucks, and present a friendly, professional face to customers every day. This role requires autonomy and a real-world, outdoors-focused approach.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience handling 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Professional, approachable and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically active and comfortable with lifting involved in the job.
• You care about doing a good job and treat customers and colleagues with respect.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes, ensuring safety, professionalism and efficiency.
• Load and unload parcels using equipment such as sack barrows and hand trucks.
• Use Saturn handheld devices to track deliveries and manage progress.
• Provide a friendly, proactive customer experience and represent the DPD brand positively.
