Job summary

Mick George Group is seeking a Loading Shovel Operative/Labourer to join their Ellington site environment. The role involves operating plant, performing daily maintenance, and ensuring accurate production data is logged.

The position requires reliable teamwork, good communication, and adherence to safety procedures. Working hours are Monday to Friday 6am–6pm with overtime on Saturdays when required; pay is dependent on experience, plus a weekly £50 performance/attendance bonus and extensive

Qualifications

Relevant plant operator licences and ability to operate quarry machinery.
Excellent communication and written skills for site reporting and handovers.
Methodical and flexible approach to tasks on site.
Pro-active team member with the ability to use mobile apps for work tasks.
Desirable basic computer literacy (emails, etc.).

Responsibilities

Operate plant and machinery to assist in mineral retrieval and ground profiling.
Carry out maintenance checks on mobile and fixed plant.
Record working hours and production data accurately.
Follow GPS guidance to achieve required ground levels.
Maintain site cleanliness and report defects to management.
