Job summary
Smart Solutions is recruiting a Loading Shovel Driver to join a busy recycling facility in Rugby, Warwickshire. The role involves operating licensed mobile plant, supporting site operations and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
You will start immediately, with 24/7 rotating shifts and training on additional plant as part of your development. Overtime is paid at time and a half, and full PPE is provided.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid Loading Shovel License.
- Experience operating mobile plant.
- Willing to undertake training on additional plant and machinery.
- Able to work rotating day and night shifts.
- Committed to health and safety on site.
Responsibilities
- Operate mobile plant safely and efficiently around the site.
- Support site recycling operations using licensed machinery.
- Carry out general housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Assist with sorting recyclable materials and removing contamination as required.
- Support loading, unloading and movement of materials around the site.
- Work as part of the operations team and assist with additional site duties.
- Carry out daily equipment checks and report defects or safety concerns.
- Follow all health, safety, environmental and site procedures at all times.
- Wear and maintain PPE correctly.
- Work to help achieve production and recycling targets.
