Smart Solutions in Preston is seeking an experienced Load Shovel Operator to join a busy waste management site. The role offers 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 6:00am start and an immediate start.

The package includes £14.00 per hour and a £500 starting bonus, with overtime opportunities available. Candidates must hold a valid Load Shovel licence and have shovel experience, plus good English and a strong health & safety focus.

Qualifications

• Valid Load Shovel licence/certificate.
• Previous loading shovel experience.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Strong focus on Health & Safety.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently
• Move and load waste and recyclable materials
• Complete daily machine checks and report defects
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Clear spillages and follow site procedures
• Comply with all Health & Safety requirements
• Support weighbridge duties when required
