Are you passionate about the construction insurance market with a broad background and willing to mentor Junior Underwriters? Aviva seeks a Lloyds Construction Underwriting Manager to join their team.

About the role:

Aviva Construction aims to expand its business, leveraging market trends and opportunities. The successful candidate will have proven experience in underwriting UK and international risks within Lloyds, strong technical underwriting skills, and a market-facing reputation. Responsibilities include managing relationships with brokers and clients, supporting strategy development, and navigating a large insurance organization.

As an Underwriting Manager, you will engage with the market, drive growth strategies, and develop business channels. You will also mentor junior staff and provide thought leadership. The role is based in London with a flexible working policy.

Skills and experience required:

• Experience in profitable Lloyd’s Construction book writing
• Confidence in engaging and negotiating with brokers
• Analytical and strategic mindset
• Team-oriented but self-motivated, with IT skills
