Job summary

Myton Food Group is seeking a Livestock Technical Auditor based in Colne to join our field team. You will play a pivotal role in reconciling high-level sustainability goals with practical farm-level operations, acting as a bridge between our brand standards and farmer partnerships.

You will lead welfare audits at farms, coach farmers through technical challenges, and contribute to a robust risk-based supplier review process across the UK, while collaborating with industry stakeholders to

Qualifications

• Deep Industry Knowledge: a proven background in livestock and a strong reputation within the farming community.
• Emotional Intelligence: navigate sensitive on-farm situations and maintain relationships even when delivering difficult news.
• Technical Coaching Ability: experience in troubleshooting farm-level challenges and translating complex data into actionable advice.
• Auditing Rigour: prior experience in supplier management or technical auditing.
• Resilience: work independently in a field-based role and make high-stakes decisions regarding supplier suitability.

Responsibilities

• Boots-on-the-Ground Diplomacy: uphold brand standards while building long-term partnerships with farmers.
• The Trusted Advisor at the Farm Gate: host welfare audits to coach farmers toward sustainable roadmaps.
• Drive Excellence: develop our 5 domains auditing module.
• Sustainability & Emissions Mapping: collect emissions data and help farmers understand environmental impact.
• Tackling Tough Conversations: provide fair, firm feedback and delist or suspend unsatisfactory suppliers when needed.
• Auditing Excellence: complete full reviews of direct suppliers across the UK and score them in a risk matrix.
• Working with Industry: engage with vets, industry stakeholders, and groups to shape welfare standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Agri Manager, buyers, and site operations to act as one team.
