Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Production Engineer/SRE to support a high-performance trading platform in a live environment. You will monitor health, respond to incidents, and coordinate with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to maintain reliability.

As part of the role you will own monitoring, automation, and runbooks, helping improve platform stability and reduce operational risk in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in production engineering, SRE, or application support in real-time or trading environments.
• Strong monitoring, observability, alerting, incident management, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting front-office users in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for a high-performance, low-latency trading platform in live trading.
• Monitor system health, trading workflows, and platform behavior for reliability and rapid issue detection.
• Respond to production incidents, drive triage and resolution, and coordinate across teams.
• Support front-office users by investigating trading issues and helping resolve time-sensitive problems.
• Own and improve monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and operational dashboards.
• Develop automation, runbooks, and tools to reduce operational risk.
