A lovely family in Streatham is seeking a full-time nanny for their two daughters, aged 1 and 4. The role requires strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to engage children in a loving manner. The nanny will have complete freedom to structure the children's day, with a focus on nursery duties and occasional family travel. Applicants must have relevant experience and certifications, and be available for in-person interviews in London.
This fantastic job has just become available. This lovely family with two little girls aged 1 and 4 is relocating to the Streatham area and will be needing a nanny.
They have had two nannies previously and been very happy.
This is a full-time role (with shorter hours on Friday), permanent and live-out. The hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 6:30 and Friday 8:00 to 4:00. The start date required is August, around August 10th. The family are happy to pay a good market rate.
The role will mainly be with the 1-year-old as the older girl will be in school, but the nanny will drop off and pick up the older child. No driving is required, but it would be an advantage as it could make the school run easier. The family have no pets—just two goldfish! Nursery duties only are needed, and travel on family holidays and occasional weekends is optional.
The things that are important to this family, apart from the usual like great references from a recent similar role, are reliability, punctuality, ability to plan, structure, and organize the girls' week. Keeping the girls in check in a kind, loving way, and engaging them is essential. It is important that the nanny communicates well with the parents and keeps a nanny diary. The nanny has complete freedom to run the girls' day, just keeping the parents in touch with what’s happening. Occasionally, a parent works in the home office, but the nanny is left to get on with things in sole charge.
The family are still based at their current address in Dorking, and trials will be held there. They will be at the new Streatham address when the role starts in August. If you have experience as a sole charge nanny with this age group and have great checkable references, please read below to see how to apply.
As with all our jobs, you will need an enhanced (not basic) DBS police check that is on the update system or less than a year old, and first aid certification. You must be available in London for in-person interviews and trials. We can only consider candidates who have the right to work in the UK (share code), as we do not sponsor candidates and cannot reply to those without this. All candidates must be fully checked and reference-verified before being presented to clients, including ID checks, police checks, proof of right to work, proof of address, and verbal references.
