Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Live-In Support Worker in Norwich to help a client with an acquired brain injury and learning disabilities live independently. You will reside in the client’s home on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rota, promoting independence and community participation.

The role offers paid training, holiday pay, pension, and ongoing clinical and management support to build your career with the Active Care Group.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver (essential).
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Experience working with acquired brain injury (desirable).
• Knowledge of Makaton advantageous but not essential.
• Be patient, reliable and proactive.
• Enjoy building positive relationships and helping people live independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing.
• Assist with daily living tasks and prompts to maintain routines.
• Support access to community activities and social events.
• Ensure safety, wellbeing and comfort for the client.
• Collaborate with family members and the care team.

He particularly enjoys outings with his grandad and trips to local attractions.Following meningitis as a baby, he lives with an acquired brain injury, learning disabilities, hearing impairment and mobility challenges.
