Job summary

EF Education First – Brighton International Language Campus seeks a responsible Residence Advisor Lead to support the Residence Manager in running a smooth department and delivering top-quality student services. This live-in, fixed-term role runs from October 2026 to October 2027, with a 5-day week including evenings and weekends, and free accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Live in EF residential accommodation and oversee comfort, safety, and conduct of students
• Support Residence Manager and team to ensure weekends run smoothly
• Organise work processes and delegate duties among Residence Advisors
• Assist with administration and maintain accurate information for team and suppliers
• Ensure room standards and service quality via weekly checks and updates
• Deliver high-level customer service to students and respond to inquiries
• Support students daily life and help maximise their learning experience
• Lead weekend residence activities and welcome arrivals/departures
• Assist with student bookings, campus cases, and visits
• Address student misconduct with relevant staff and follow safeguarding procedures
• Follow EF safety procedures and participate in fire safety training and drills
• Ensure effective day/night staff communication and support security as needed
• Cover school emergency phone duties on a rota basis
• Assist in maintenance planning and facilities training for the team
• Take lead on maintenance issues during out-of-hours shifts
• Support in achieving department goals and service excellence
