Job summary

Quality Inns is seeking a Management couple to run The Glasshouse Inn at May Hill, Gloucestershire, as General Manager and Head Chef. The role offers a combined salary of £65,000 (£32,500 per person) plus a profit-related bonus and private 2-bedroom accommodation.

You will lead a busy food-led operation, deliver superb guest service and drive commercial success in a picturesque countryside setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pub, restaurant or hospitality management.
• Head Chef / kitchen leadership experience is essential.
• Experience within a busy, food-led operation.
• Hands-on leadership style – you’ll both be happy to lead from the front.
• Strong commercial awareness, including budgets, GP and wastage.
• Excellent customer service and people-management skills.
• Confidence managing a busy operation with multiple responsibilities.
• Experience with accommodation or booking systems would be an advantage.
• The drive and enthusiasm to develop the business and help it reach its full potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and run the pub operations as a Management couple.
• Oversee kitchen and Head Chef responsibilities in a busy, food-led environment.
• Develop the business, manage budgets and improve GP and wastage.
• Provide hands-on leadership and frontline presence to motivate staff.

A unique opportunity has a risen for a Management couple to take on General Manager and Head Chef roles at this beautiful, quintessentially British pub based in the stunning Gloucestershire countryside. The Glasshouse Inn at May Hill is a charming, traditional ‘roses around the door’ pub with a great reputation for food and hospitality. The pub offers cosy rooms and roaring fires in the winter months and a beautiful garden in the summer, along with lodges and cabins for guests wishing to stay and explore the Royal Forest of Dean.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for a couple who are genuinely excited by the opportunity to run a pub together and become part of its community. Between you, you’ll ideally bring:

• Previous experience in pub, restaurant or hospitality management
