Looking for a live-in housekeeper for a part-time residence in Surrey. The family will visit on occasion, usually just two adults and occasionally they may bring their 2 small dogs and cat.
The role of the housekeeper is to keep the house ready for the family to visit and ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the house.
When the family are in residence the Housekeeper will need to do some light cooking for the family, have the fridges stocked and work on the days that the clients require including over weekends. You will know in advance of their visit and any over time will be paid back in lieu.
The ideal candidate should be hardworking, discreet, flexible, trustworthy, well-presented, and professional.
The family communicates both in English and Russian and so it would be an advantageif you could communicate in both.
Duties:
Responsible for all aspects of housekeeping. Day to day duties could involve:
Thorough cleaning of the properties
Vacuuming and cleaning of floors, carpets and rugs
Dusting and polishing of all surfaces
Laundry and ironing, organising dry cleaning
Care of fine china, silver and crystal
Maintain adequate supply of household cleaning products
Run errands for the client
Receive and supervise contractors
Household shopping online and shops
Occasional cooking
Assist with table service at dinner parties (rare)
Some care of animals (walks, visits to vet etc)
Working hours: 40 hours week working 5 days a week with 2 days off (Weekends are required when the family is in residence). Typically working 9-5, can involve working earlier or later as required. Flexibility is a must.
Annual Leave entitlement: 32 days per annum but will not normally be entitled to take a day's holiday on a public holiday.
Accommodation: Fully furnished studio flat with own bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, entrance through the main house
