Job summary

Inspired Education Group is seeking a Live-In Groundsman at our Olympia site in London. You will maintain natural grass pitches, artificial surfaces, tennis courts, and surrounding areas, ensuring safe, clean and well-presented facilities for school use and commercial hirers.

The role requires on-site presence, opening/closing procedures, responding to out-of-hours incidents, and working evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds, sports turf, estate maintenance or a similar practical role.
• Good practical maintenance skills with grounds equipment and machinery.
• Strong awareness of health and safety and ability to respond to hazards.
• Reliable, proactive and organised, with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain natural grass pitches, including mowing, line marking, aerating, fertilising, seeding and repairs.
• Maintain artificial surfaces and tennis courts, including brushing, debris removal and net inspection.
• Prepare pitches and facilities for school activities and bookings; install and store equipment as required.
• Maintain landscaped areas, paths, boundaries and car parks; tidy and clear litter.
• Carry out opening/closing procedures and respond to out-of-hours incidents as agreed.
