Job summary

Burley's Home Care in Slough is hiring dedicated live-in carers to provide compassionate in-home support. You will live with clients for 2 to 4 weeks, have your own room and meals provided, and join a family-run team focused on independence and dignity.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months professional care experience.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate.
• Confident with medication administration.
• Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
• Willingness to commit to 2–4 week rotations.
• Caring attitude and communication skills.
• Good cooking skills.
• Physical fitness for moving and handling.
• An enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Personal care – assist with washing, dressing, toileting and dignity.
• Medication administration – ensure safe handling and MAR charts.
• Meal planning and cooking – provide nutritious meals.
• Companionship – engage in activities and conversations.
• Light housekeeping – keep home clean and safe.
• Shopping and errands – manage prescriptions and groceries.
• Monitor health changes and communicate with families.
