What Is Live-In Care?

Live-in care in Slough is a more personalised alternative to care home or domiciliary work. You’ll live in your client’s home for 2 to 4 weeks, with your own room and meals provided.

Your Role as a Live-In Carer

You’ll provide care and companionship in clients’ Slough homes, helping improve their quality of life.

Your daily duties include:

• Personal care – washing, dressing, toileting, maintaining dignity
• Medication administration – safely managing prescriptions and accurate MAR charts
• Meal planning and cooking – preparing nutritious food
• Companionship – meaningful conversations, activities, accompanying to appointments
• Light housekeeping – keeping the home clean and safe
• Shopping and errands – prescriptions, weekly shopping
• Monitoring and communicating – observing health changes and liaising with families

You may support someone living with dementia, recovering from a stroke, managing Parkinson’s disease, or receiving palliative care.

You’ll also become a trusted companion. The small details matter - how someone takes their tea, their favourite music, or simply being a reassuring presence.
