Formación

• Experience in live-in care or personal care is required.

Responsabilidades

• Follow care plans, risk assessments and moving and handling procedures.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and reliable Live-In Care Worker to provide person-centred support to an individual with complex physical care needs in their own home.

The role involves:

• Providing full support with personal care, including washing, showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Using a ceiling track hoist safely for transfers and following the agreed moving and handling plan
• Supporting with repositioning and pressure-area care to maintain skin integrity and comfort
• Assisting with the use of specialist equipment, including a profiling bed, pressure-relieving mattress, shower chair and commode
• Supporting with daily routines while respecting privacy, dignity, consent and personal choice
• Ensuring personal care is adapted according to fatigue and how the individual is feeling each day
• Providing emotional support, companionship and monitoring changes in wellbeing or mood
• Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable home environment and completing essential household tasks where required
• Following all care plans, risk assessments and moving and handling procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience in live-in care, complex care or personal care
• Confident using hoists and supporting individuals with limited mobility
• Good understanding of safe moving and handlingPatient, observant, respectful and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills and commitment to person-centred care

Live-In Arrangement:

The role includes two 7-hour breaks per week, both of which are paid, allowing the carer dedicated time away from their caring duties. The care plan highlights the importance of pacing care around fatigue, maintaining dignity and adapting support to the individual's needs.
