Job summary
Burley's Home Care is seeking live-in carers in Basingstoke to support clients in their homes. Earn £875–£1,120 per week with 2-4 week placements, in a family-run care provider focused on independence and quality of life.
Join our award-winning team with a strong DBS requirement, NVQ Level 2 or Care Certificate, and at least 6 months in care. Immediate start available for suitable applicants.
Qualifications

- Confident with medication administration.
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not offered).

- Physical fitness for moving and handling.
- An enhanced DBS is ideal, or willingness to apply for one.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality live-in care in clients' homes in Basingstoke.

Live-in care in Basingstoke is a more personal alternative to domiciliary or care home work. You’ll stay in your client’s home for 2 to 4 weeks, providing support, companionship and care, with your own private bedroom and meals included.
Claire, one of our experienced live-in carers, explains: The beauty of this arrangement is that I don't just work in your home; I live in it. No rent or housekeeping worries, just a dedicated focus on your well-being. I share my days with a remarkable 90-year-old lady celebrating life. I do the housekeeping and cook delicious food. The Dorset Apple Cake is her favourite treat! After three weeks of devoted service, I take one week off, whether for a rejuvenating holiday or exploring the charming towns across the UK.
You’ll provide high-quality care to clients in their Basingstoke homes, helping improve their quality of life through personalised support and companionship.
Your daily duties include:
- Personal care - washing, dressing, toileting, maintaining dignity
- Medication administration - safely managing prescriptions and accurate MAR charts
- Meal planning and cooking - preparing nutritious food
- Companionship - meaningful conversations, activities, accompanying to appointments
- Light housekeeping - keeping the home clean and safe
- Shopping and errands - prescriptions, weekly shopping
- Monitoring and communicating - observing health changes and liaising with families
You may support someone living with dementia, recovering from a stroke, managing Parkinson’s disease, or receiving palliative care.
You’ll also become a trusted companion. The small details matter – how someone takes their tea, their favourite music, or simply being a reassuring presence.
