New Age Care Ltd is seeking a Female Live-in Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care in clients' homes, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life while supporting daily living.

The role covers personal care, meal planning, medication support, companionship, mobility, and safe home management. You must have good English and a valid UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Good cooking skills and ability to prepare nutritious meals.

• Driver with full UK licence and own vehicle when required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with personal care while promoting independence, dignity, choice and privacy.
• Support with meals, nutrition, mobility and household tasks per care plan.
• Assist with medication as required and maintain records.
• Provide companionship and encourage participation in activities.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments.
• Keep care records and report changes, follow policies and safeguarding.

Job Purpose

The Live-in Carer is responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred care and continuous support to an individual within their own home environment. Also, promote the clients physical, emotional, and psychological well-being while enabling them to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist with personal care while promoting the client's independence, dignity, choice, and privacy at all times.
• Daily Living Support: Provide support with meal preparation, nutrition, mobility, and household tasks in accordance with the client's care plan. Be capable and confident in managing household responsibilities.
• Medication Support: Administer or support with medication as required, maintain accurate medication records, and follow all relevant policies and procedures.
• Emotional & Social Support: Offer companionship, emotional support, and encourage the client's participation in social, recreational, and community activities. Demonstrate a positive attitude and a friendly, approachable personality.
• Mobility and Transport Assistance: Support the client with safe movement within the home and accompany them to appointments, social activities, shopping, or errands as required.
• Record-Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate care records, promptly report any changes in the client's health or wellbeing, and adhere to organisational policies, safeguarding procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
• Professional Conduct: Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and respect at all times. Uphold data protection and confidentiality standards, attend all mandatory training, and actively participate in ongoing professional development.

Essential Skills and Qualities

• Capable and confident in managing household duties and maintaining a safe, clean home environment.
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate with an excellent personality. Able to remain calm, adaptable, and professional, coping effectively with a wide range of situations and challenges.
• Must be a driver and hold a full, valid UK driving licence and use their own vehicle for work-related duties, where required.
