Job summary

Total Community Care Limited is seeking a dedicated live-in care assistant to support an elderly client in Redruth. You will provide day-to-day companionship, personal care, and assistance with daily living tasks in the client’s home. Training is provided, and opportunities for progression are available.

The role requires empathy, reliability and strong communication, with duties including feeding, medication support, and domestic tasks; confidentiality and respect are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in clinical tasks would strengthen your application.
Bladder care experience is advantageous.
Bowel management experience is advantageous.
Strong communication abilities are essential.
Familiarity with moving and handling equipment is beneficial.
Experience in a live-in care setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day companionship and personal care in clients' homes.
Assist with activities of daily living and practical tasks like shopping and meals.
Support clients with feeding, hygiene, and domestic duties.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Our live-in care assistants are extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting vulnerable people to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll provide day-to-day companionship, and personal care, assist clients with the activities of daily living, and help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.

We support all our Live-in Care Assistants and provide training as well as opportunities for career progression. You will be provided with your private room and have adequate breaks each day. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter.

We are looking for an active kind, caring and empathetic live in carer for a client that is an elderly lady with multiple sclerosis. You will be supporting with feeding, personal care and domestic duties.

There are also ducks and chickens at the premises which require feeding daily.

In terms of clinical aspects there may be catheter care, which is changed by district nurses, PRN medication and specialist moving and handling via tracking hoist.
