Job summary

City and County Healthcare Group Ltd (CCH) is seeking a live-in care assistant to support an elderly client in her Cambridge home. You will provide day-to-day companionship, personal care, help with daily living activities, and assist with shopping, meals, and light housework.

Full training and ongoing career progression are provided, and you will receive a private room and adequate breaks. Occasional travel with the client is required as the family travels; you’ll join a supportive team

Qualifications

• Experience in live-in care settings is highly advantageous.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients who have complex needs.
• Experience with bowel and bladder care is beneficial.
• Commitment to compassionate, client-centered support.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day companionship and personal care in the client’s home.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Our live-in care assistants are extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting vulnerable people to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll provide day-to-day companionship, and personal care, assist clients with the activities of daily living, and help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.

We support all our Live-in Care Assistants and provide training as well as opportunities for career progression. You will be provided with your private room and have adequate breaks each day. Every day will be different. And you’ll never know what challenges you’re about to face next. One thing you can be sure of though, is that you’ll be making your clients’ days brighter.

We are looking for an active kind, caring and empathetic live in carer who can support the client in her home with personal care and activities and also accompany her on her many weekly activities.

The client is an elderly lady with an acquired brain injury, where she uses hand signal and facial expressions to communicate, she can also write or draw sometimes to communicate with her care team.

In terms of clinical aspects you will be providing bowel and bladder care, where full training will be provided.

The family do occasional go abroad on holiday with the client, therefore you will be required to travel with them.

Experience required in the following clinical tasks would make your application extremely advantageous prior to an interview commencing:

• Bladder Care
• Bowel Management
• Strong Communication Abilities
• Experienced in a Live In care setting.
