Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a compassionate Live-In Care Carer to join the team and support clients in their own homes. You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities, and help maintain independence with dignity and companionship.

You will work closely with a care team, receive full induction and ongoing professional development, and benefit from a pension scheme. DBS checks and references will be handled per government guidelines.

Qualifications

• Kind and caring nature required.
• Ability to live with customers for agreed shifts.
• Ability to follow care plans and Bluebird Care Policies.
• Commitment to training, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Have a Right to Work in the UK.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care tailored to the customer and encourage independence.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
• Manage medication and assist with meal preparation.
• Handle household tasks like laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands.
• Support customers to stay connected with their community through activities and visits from loved ones.
• Provide comfort and care during illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care.
• Work independently while staying connected with the care team for guidance.
• Receive paid breaks and accommodation while on placement.
• Complete full induction and ongoing training and development.
• Receive ongoing supervision and 24/7 support from the team.
• Participation in Bluebird Care's pension scheme and WPA.
