The Glee Club Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to oversee all event-day operations. As a keyholder and line manager to heads of bar, floor, kitchen, box office and technical departments, you will act as Duty Manager and ensure a safe, high-quality customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a Personal Licence, a degree, and a track record in people management, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for live entertainment.

Qualificações

• Personal Licence holder required.
• Degree-level education.
• Proven history of people management.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience dealing with the general public.
• Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability and enthusiasm to drive sales.

Responsabilidades

• Duty Management of events and coordination with stakeholders.
• Plan and schedule staff for multiple-show nights within budgets.
• Line management of heads of departments (bar, floor, kitchen, tech, security, box office).
• Write rotas and deploy staff for event shifts within budgets.
• Forecast weekly sales revenue and manage payroll entries.
• Purchasing and stock control to maintain GP targets.
• Coordinate with Marketing on event promotion and branding.
• Ensure operations meet H&S procedures during events.
• Support continuous improvement of systems with SMT.
