Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Kitchen Porter for Sheffield City Hall, a busy venue hosting concerts, conferences and live events. You will support the kitchen team, maintain cleanliness, assist with basic food prep, and help ensure smooth service during evenings and weekends.

This casual, event-based role offers flexible shifts, fortnightly pay, and opportunities to gain experience in the live events industry. Training will be provided to help you deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Desirable but not essential: prior kitchen/catering/hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, crockery and glassware.
• Ensure all kitchen and food preparation areas remain clean, organised and compliant with hygiene and food safety standards.
• Complete thorough kitchen clean-down procedures following service to ensure the kitchen is ready for future operations.
• Support chefs and kitchen teams with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties as required.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
