Job summary

Kudos AV Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking a CAD technician who already draws well and wants to learn live events.

You will produce stage plans, rigging plots and drawing sets for conferences, awards ceremonies and exhibitions, from briefs and site surveys, in venues ranging from museums to five‑star hotels. The role includes training on Spotlight and Braceworks; if you know AutoCAD but not Vectorworks, we will train you.

Qualifications

• Solid 2D CAD drafting experience in Vectorworks, AutoCAD or similar.
• Understanding of scale, dimensioning and how drawings read on site.
• Ability to think about sightlines and room fit during planning.
• Organised with revisions and clear file naming conventions.
• Willing to visit venues to check drawings against reality.

Responsibilities

• Produce stage plans, rigging plots, scenic details and drawing sets for events.
• Create 2D drawings from briefs, surveys and production sketches.
• Incorporate venue surveys and production notes into accurate drawings.
• Keep drawings current as briefs change and maintain library/templates.
• Support the Technical Designer on larger builds and venue sign‑off documentation.
