Job summary

Craft Agency Ltd, a global experiential agency, is seeking a CAD Technician/Drafter to turn creative concepts into build-ready drawings in Vectorworks, roughly 75% detailed floor plans and 25% construction drawings drawn from 3D designs for live events, festivals, and immersive installations across venues.

You’ll juggle 20–30 projects concurrently, evolve layouts as briefs shift, and solve spatial constraints on-site during live builds, including elevations, sections and seating plans.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a CAD Technician or Drafter in experiential, live events or theatrical work.
• Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modelling in Vectorworks.
• Ability to work from PDF or DWG venue plans under fast-changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Turn creative concepts into build-ready drawings in Vectorworks (≈75% detailed floor plans, 25% construction drawings).
• Produce elevations, sections, seating layouts and ensure compliance with venue constraints and safety specs.
• Manage 20–30 projects concurrently, adapting layouts as briefs shift and solving spatial problems on-site during live builds.

The Role

You’ll turn creative concepts into build-ready technical drawings in Vectorworks, roughly 75% detailed floor plans, 25% construction drawings derived from 3D designs. Elevations, sections, seating layouts, all accounting for venue constraints, safety regulations and client specs.

Variety is the point. In one seat you’ll draw a festival pop-up bar one week and a championship-level hospitality build the next. You’ll run 20 – 30 projects concurrently, adapting layouts as briefs and client requirements shift through delivery, and solving spatial problems on-site during live builds.

The Person

You’ve spent 3 – 5 years as a CAD Technician or Drafter in experiential, live events or theatrical work. Vectorworks is second nature, in both 2D drafting and 3D modelling, and you can work from PDF or DWG venue plans under fast-changing conditions.

You hold detail across many live projects, and you take pride in the output, but you roll with last-minute change too.
