Job summary

Caval Limited currently seeks an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a structural alteration project at a Jobcentre in Derby. The role requires managing all site activities within a live environment, coordinating subcontractors and trades, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Strong planning, coordination and health & safety management are essential, with experience in structural alteration or refurbishment projects preferred. Derby-based site with a 4-month duration.

Qualifications

• SMSTS required.
• Black CSCS Card (Manager) required.
• First Aid at Work required.
• Asbestos Awareness required.
• Experience managing structural alteration or refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing all site activities from start to completion.
• Coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades.
• Ensuring all works comply with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
• Liaising with the client, structural engineer and project team.
• Managing site programmes, quality and daily progress.
• Completing site paperwork, RAMS reviews and daily records.
• Maintaining a safe and organised site throughout the project.
