Job summary

Avon and Somerset Police in Portishead is seeking a Live Cell Intelligence Assistant to join the Live Cell Intelligence Team at Police Headquarters. This part‑time role supports intelligence processing and data sourcing to inform crime-fighting decisions.

You will work within a 24/7 operations context, predominantly in the communications room, with a pattern of shifts that may include early and night slots.

Qualifications

• IPP accreditation; funding and support provided.
• Excel proficiency and database experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative research and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process high priority intelligence submissions out of hours to support processing teams.
• Complete PNC updates on behalf of internal departments and external agencies with accurate information.
• Research and use intelligence databases to provide live-time intelligence for ongoing incidents.
