Job summary

A Central London law firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join its Civil Litigation team. The role targets a solicitor with 2–3 years’ PQE who can take ownership of a varied caseload, work closely with clients and contribute to the growth of the department.

The position offers permanent employment or a consultant solicitor arrangement, with a strong focus on Landlord & Tenant and housing litigation within a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
• 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience in civil litigation.
• Experience handling Landlord & Tenant and/or housing litigation matters.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to conclusion.
• Advise on Landlord & Tenant disputes, including possession proceedings, rent arrears, housing-related disputes.
• Draft pleadings, applications, witness statements, settlement agreements and other litigation documents.
• Conduct negotiations and explore ADR and settlement opportunities.
• Attend County Court hearings and liaise with Counsel as required.
• Ensure clients receive clear, practical, and commercially focused advice throughout the matter.
