Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking a Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a growing Dispute Resolution team. You will handle a broad range of litigation matters and develop your own caseload with a focus on Commercial and General Litigation.

You will work with experienced solicitors, conduct legal research, draft pleadings, advise clients, and contribute to the growth of the department through networking and high-quality client care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years' PQE or approaching qualification.
• Experience in a general litigation environment with at least one of the listed areas.
• Strong research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Commercially minded approach and strong communication.
• Ability to manage own workload within a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and progress your own litigation caseload with supervision.
• Assist across Commercial, Property and Contentious Probate matters.
• Develop expertise in Commercial and General Litigation.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a successful and growing Dispute Resolution team.

The role will involve working across a broad range of litigation matters, including Commercial Litigation, Property Litigation and Contentious Probate, while developing your own caseload with a particular focus on Commercial and General Litigation.

You will work closely with experienced members of the team, gaining exposure to a variety of complex and interesting disputes while building your technical expertise and client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and progressing your own litigation caseload with appropriate supervision and support.
• Assisting with matters across Commercial Litigation, Property Litigation and Contentious Probate.
• Developing particular expertise in Commercial and General Litigation.
• Advising clients on a range of contentious matters and providing commercially focused solutions.
• Drafting correspondence, pleadings, statements and other legal documentation.
• Conducting legal research and applying relevant legislation and case law.
• Negotiating with opposing parties and their representatives.
• Liaising with counsel, experts and other professional advisers where required.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Dispute Resolution team.
• Maintaining high standards of client care, file management and compliance.
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the litigation practice.
• Developing professional networks and identifying opportunities to build the team's client base.

About You

• Qualified as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0-2 years' PQE, or be approaching qualification.
• Experience within a general litigation environment.
• Experience in Commercial Litigation, Property Litigation or Contentious Probate is essential in at least one area.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• A pragmatic and commercially minded approach to legal issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload while working effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine interest in developing a career within litigation.
• A willingness to build professional relationships and contribute to the growth of the department.
