Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Litigation Solicitor with 2+ years PQE to join a Gloucestershire practice with a long-standing local presence. You will handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes and take ownership of your own matters, under the guidance of an experienced Head of Litigation.

I'm working with an established Gloucestershire law firm with a fantastic local presence, a long-standing reputation and a broad offering across both private and commercial legal services. They're continuing to grow their Litigation team and are looking for another solicitor to come on board and play a key part in that.

This isn't an opportunity to spend your days picking up the overflow from everyone else's caseload. You'll have the chance to take ownership of your own matters, work closely with an experienced Head of Litigation and get involved in a varied mix of disputes, with plenty of scope to develop your expertise along the way.

What You Will Be Doing:

You'll handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation, including:

• Residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes
• Contractual disputes and breach of contract claims
• Property disputes and TOLATA claims
• Company and shareholder disputes

You'll be involved from initial instruction through to resolution, advising clients, developing strategies, negotiating settlements and representing clients where proceedings are necessary.

Who Would Suit This Role?

• You'll ideally be a Solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE and some experience handling your own contentious caseload. You'll be confident communicating with clients, enjoy getting stuck into a good legal problem and have a commercially minded approach to resolving disputes.
• You don't need to tick every single box on the work types above. A solid grounding in civil or commercial litigation and an appetite to broaden your experience is what matters.
